Every two years, the Education Council (comprising the ministers with responsibility for education) provides Education Services Australia with a Letter of Expectation.
The letter outlines ESA's role and responsibilities and sets out the Council's priorities and expectations for the following two financial years. The letter also outlines ESA's reporting responsibilities, which include the preparation of an annual report on ESA's activities during the preceding financial year.
