The Educational Lending Right School Library Survey (ELR) is administered by Education Services Australia on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Communications and the Arts. ESA invites a sample selection of schools to participate each year, collecting data from at least 300 schools in order to estimate the number of specific book titles held in Australian school libraries. This information is used to recompense registered book creators under the Educational Lending Right scheme.
